Week 1- Extra Task
Week 1- Tute Task
After completing my bachelor of journalism, I wish to pursue a career in the television industry, working as a television presenter. My dream job is to become a host on getaway, traveling the world and reporting on various locations. While studying at university, hopefully I will have the opportunity to get an intern ship with either channel seven, channel nine or channel ten. Even working in radio would be great experience. I love writing and I love performing so becoming a television presenter would be my ultimate dream.
I would love to start off working for MTV as a news presenter like Erin McNaught. She represented Australia at the 2006 Miss Universe pageant then went on to become a character on Neighbours. Erin also co-hosted a show called CyberShack on channel nine and channel ten. http://twitter.com/erin_mcnaught
After that, I would love to have Natalie Gruzlewski's job on Getaway. She may have started off as a weather girl but she has come a long way in the industry.
Week 1-Response to Lecture
The first week's lecture was basically an introduction to the course. We discussed a small amount of the course content and briefly covered what we will have to do for each assessment item. After this, we discussed what are old and what are new communication technologies. After presenting us with a list of various communication technologies, Josh said the line for ‘old’ should be drawn at television. However, this made me think about where the line really can be drawn as modern day advances in technology are creating new models of old communication devices.
